Dr. d'Ambrosi is a native of North Carolina growing up in Raleigh and graduating from Millbrook High School. She then attended East Carolina University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. Originally wanting to be a veterinarian, she also thought about family medicine and othropaedic surgery. After shadowing MDs for years she discovered chiropractic when her sister injured her neck and began seeing a chiropractor. This led Dr. d'Ambrosi to chiropractic and an alternative approach to health care. She completed her doctorate from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon where she received honors in clinics. She is National Board certified in chiropractic and physiological therapeutics, and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association.
Dr. d'Ambrosi was a certified EMT-basic during her education at ECU volunteering for Eastern Pines Fire and Rescue in Greenville, NC. She also worked as a Sports Care Attendant for ECU rugby, lacrosse, intramural soccer, and ultimate Frisbee. She is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America to teach group fitness since 1999 in which she taught at ECU, Cascade Athletic Club in Portland, and currently at O2 Fitness and Kx Fitness in Cary and Apex respectively. She is specifically certified in Pilates, yoga, aqua fitness, Swiss ball exercises, BodyPump©, BodyBalance©, and Silver Sneakers® for those over the age of 65.
Dr. d'Ambrosi enjoys teaching yoga, Pilates, hiking, camping, snow-skiing, traveling, and staying as active as possible. She also enjoys painting and many other art forms. She dedicates her work to motivating others to take charge of their health care and become more active. She is looking forward to getting married in October 2006.
